Sun Haven is filled with memorable boss fights, from a giant jump-roping weed that invades the farm to a 100,000-HP stone colossus and a Moon Dragon who rules Withergate. These encounters are among the most rewarding challenges in the game, dropping exclusive pets, gem nodes, trophies, and fertilizer that cannot be earned anywhere else. This guide covers every boss and elite enemy in Sun Haven, with exact health values, locations, drop tables, and the strategy that reliably defeats each fight.
What Are Bosses and Elite Enemies?
Bosses in Sun Haven are unique, named enemies that own a dedicated arena or event and possess a large health pool that multiple players or NPC helpers can drain together. Elite enemies, by contrast, are tougher variants of normal monsters that appear rarely in the wild or on fixed floors inside the Combat Dungeon. Together, they power the endgame of the combat skill, and defeating them unlocks pets, dreamy loot, and a long list of achievements.
Before diving into each fight, players should read the full combat guide for weapon types and enemy weaknesses, and the monster drops and loot farming guide for regular enemy loot tables.
Farm Bosses: Weedil and Krusty
In Spring, two boss events take place on the player’s own farm. Neither fight uses a normal health bar in the traditional sense, but both reward unique pets and are impossible to miss.
Weedil (Day 5 of Spring)
Weedil is a large, fluffy dandelion-cotton Elementi who appears on the farm on Day 5 of Spring and stays until Day 9. While present, Weedil sprouts Dandelions across the fields that can be harvested with a scythe for Farming EXP. If players lose the contest, Weedil keeps his promise to return, and defeating him grants the adorable Weedy pet.
The encounter is a Jump Rope mini-game. Players press the Jump key (default Space) whenever the word “JUMP” appears above Weedil’s head until his health bar empties. Asking for help starts a short two-part quest: Lucia explains that Liam’s sisters are up for the challenge, and once players talk to Liam, Emma and Elizabeth join the rope. There is also a well-known shortcut: players press and hold the jump button before the rope starts, which cheeses the whole contest; this still worked as of patch 3.0. Every clear rewards Simple Fire, Earth, and Water Fertilizer ×10 plus 10–15 Wheat Seeds and the Weedy pet. The achievements Weed Killer (solo) and One More Thyme (with help) mark both outcomes.
Krusty (Day 15 of Spring)
Krusty is a mossy, jagged rock formation with a horizontal crack and two red eyes that appears on the farm on Day 15. He scatters stone, copper ore, and gold ore across the fields each morning, and this is the boss with the highest raw health bar in the early game at 100,000 HP.
After the morning cutscene, players can start two quests: Blade Buddy (enlists Nathaniel and his sword) and Pickaxe Partner (enlists Lynn). Both NPCs deal damage to Krusty automatically and can fully deplete his health in about two days even without player input. Players can also strike Krusty directly with any weapon, spell, or pickaxe to speed things up. Every successful hit causes him to drop stone, copper ore, and gold ore. If Krusty is not defeated by Day 20 he leaves voluntarily and the pet is lost. Killing him rewards the Pebbles pet, a miniature version of Krusty, and the achievements Rocky Road (solo) or Rock and Roll (with helpers).
The Boss of the Sun Haven Mines: Dizzy
Dizzy is a colorful gem golem waiting on Floor 50 at the very bottom of the Sun Haven Mines. This boss has 25,000 HP, attacks in melee, and can be re-fought once every seven in-game days. To begin the encounter, players must strike the giant node of gems in the middle of the room with a pickaxe until the gems react — they were Dizzy’s back all along.
Dizzy telegraphs everything. He spins in a straight line across the arena until he hits a wall, then either turns for another spin or becomes dizzy and stunned. When stunned, rocks fall and block the field; those nodes can be smashed with a pickaxe or cleared with the Vacuumulus spell, and Dizzy also wipes them as he spins through. After recovering, Dizzy fires fans of rocks and gems that players dodge by standing far enough out to step between the projectiles. Typically Dizzy spins three times before stunning.
Once defeated, random nodes of Beryl, Citrine, Dizzite, Emerald, Lapis, Tanzanite, and Tourmaline spawn and can be mined for gems with no purpose other than selling for coins. Dizzite is the only one that can be donated to the Museum, so players should hold one. The battle also drops a Dizzlette at 100% and each gem at a 25% chance, as shown below. Defeating Dizzy unlocks the To the Bottom achievement.

Players who need to reach Floor 50 quickly should check the mining guide for ore, mine-level layouts, and the best floor patterns.
The Moon Dragon: Dynus
Dynus is the Dragon of the Moon and the ruling deity of Withergate, the main antagonist of Sun Haven’s story. There are two ways to resolve the encounter, and players can choose the route that fits their combat level. The full route into the demon city and its mines is covered in the Withergate guide.
The first option is the altar route: players complete every altar in Dynus’ Altar Room to appease the Moon Dragon without a fight. The second option is direct combat inside his cavern at the north of Withergate Castle. Community-sourced measurements put Dynus at around 90,000 HP with high defense, making the altar route the sensible choice for most saves. The Confronting Dynus quest requires 2,000 Coins, 500 Combat EXP, 250 Exploration EXP, and 200 Tickets, and the battle or appeasement rewards a Dynus Plushie, the Dynus Victory Trophy, the Glorite Sword, and the Wishing Well cosmetic. The two achievements are Appease the Moon Dragon and Defeat the Moon Dragon.
The Boss Arena: Rotating Weekly Fights
The Boss Arena sits east of Lynn’s House, just before the path to the mines, and is the game’s main repeatable boss content. The arena is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the daily boss rotates at random. Players speak to Raimi to choose a challenge level (20, 30, 40, or 50), and the boss of the day is the same for every level. Everyone in the arena joins the fight, and any knocked-out player is transported out and cannot rejoin until the battle ends. Players are limited to one boss per event day.
The arena bosses scale their health with the chosen level. The chart below compares all three:

- Oak Guardian — a walking tree that chases players and throws bombs (three at Level 20, up to five by Level 50, with faster movement at higher levels). HP: 3,500 / 6,000 / 10,000 / 15,000 from Level 20 to 50.
- Candy Slime — stays at the top of the arena, spews 7–9 spread slime balls, and spawns slime adds that scale with level. HP: 2,750 / 5,500 / 9,500 / 14,000.
- Tyrantviper — a venomous viper that never moves, spitting one to several poison bolts and occasionally a wide fan. HP: 3,000 / 4,500 / 9,000 / 12,000. The four Snake Slayer achievements unlock for wins at each level.
Every arena boss awards 100 Combat EXP at Level 20, rising to 400 at Level 50, which makes the arena the fastest way to push the combat skill in the mid-game:

Elite Enemies and the Combat Dungeon
Elite enemies are rare, hardened versions of regular monsters. Two stand out in the open world: Elite Leafie in the Western Forest grants 20 Combat EXP, and Elite Scorpepper in the Eastern Forest and Beach grants 18 Combat EXP. They hit harder and carry better loot than their everyday counterparts, so killing them is a small but steady source of early combat EXP.
The Combat Dungeon is a 31-floor gauntlet located near the quarry that tests everything players have learned. Each floor holds a fixed configuration of enemies and an elite opponent, and every fifth floor rewards a key used to open the chests in the staging room. Those chests hand out items that grant a permanent combat bonus as soon as they are picked up, and they can safely be discarded afterwards. Beating floors 5, 15, and 30 grants three dedicated achievements.
For a wider view of every zone and where each enemy spawns, the map and regions guide lists all areas at a glance.
Which Boss Is the Toughest?
Ranking the fights by raw health shows a steep jump between the farm events and the arena:

Krusty has the largest health pool at 100,000, but NPC helpers make him far easier than the number suggests. Dynus sits second at roughly 90,000, though the altar route lets players bypass combat entirely. Dizzy (25,000) is the hardest early dungeon fight, while the Level 50 arena bosses cap between 12,000 and 15,000 HP to stay fair and repeatable. In practice, the toughest per-save boss is usually Dizzy, because players must reach Floor 50 with enough weapons, potions, and health to survive his spin pattern.
Players who want a stronger combat loadout should review the best race guide for combat perks and the spells and magic guide for high-damage builds.
General Boss-Fighting Strategies
Several universal rules make every boss fight easier, regardless of which one players face:
- Prepare potions and food. Health and mana-restoring consumables are cheap and prevent wiping on Dizzy or a higher-level arena boss.
- Use range first. Kiting with a crossbow or spell cast from a safe distance works against every stationary arena boss and most wild elites, keeping health high.
- Learn the telegraph. Dizzy spins three times before stunning, arena bosses broadcast every attack, and no boss acts without a warning frame. Watching one attack cycle costs nothing; reacting late costs a potion.
- Spend skill points early. Three points into a preferred weapon type and two into defensive boosts make the early bosses far more forgiving; the combat skill tree tiers unlock every five points.
- Bring a companion pet. Defeating the slime boss King Slimius XVII unlocks the affectionate Ooey slime pet, while the Weedy and Pebbles pets from the farm bosses give the farm a head start — so the farming link between bosses and money matters. See the money guide for how boss ore and gems feed early income.
