By Mira Chen — Your bug net is the difference between catching a rare beetle and watching it disappear. Upgrade timing matters more than most guides admit.
Net Upgrade Path
Starter Net (free): Short range, slow swing. Use for your first 20 catches. Upgrade when you start missing bugs because they are too far away.
Standard Net (~400G): Medium range, faster swing. This is your workhorse. Use it for everything through mid-game. I used this net for roughly 60 hours of bug catching.
Pro Net (~1,500G): Long range, rare bug shimmer effect. Buy when you start hunting rare species. The shimmer effect makes Luna Moths and Golden Stag Beetles significantly easier to spot.
Master Net (~4,000G): Maximum range, 10% auto-catch chance. Luxury purchase for completionists chasing the last few rare bugs.
